We are pleased to be featuring Stacy-Lee as our Featured Tutor in the summer of 2023. Stacy-Lee is an inspiring and passionate English teacher. She is currently using her teaching skills within her role as an English tutor online at Lonet.Academy. Today Stacy shares with us her teaching journey, and how the teaching profession energizes and fulfills her! She is passionate about life, she loves meeting new people from different cultures, and dreams about traveling to all the countries in the world.

What has led you to the language teaching?

I went to Japan for a year and fell in love with the joy that learning English brought to the kids and adults that I taught there.

How has teaching practice benefited your life?

Teaching has helped me fulfill a desire that I have to help others. Beyond the feeling of fulfilment, it doesn’t hurt to that I can earn a living from doing what I love😊.

What is the most rewarding part of your daily teaching journey?

Being an English tutor online I have the priviledge of meeting new people and getting to know about their culture.

What difference/impact has your tutoring had so far on the people you have been teaching?

I have assisted persons pass standardized tests and successfully use their improved English skills to land their dream job.

What’s the biggest area in teaching you are curious about and why?

I have always been fascinated at how the brain processes and stores all the information to allow humans to speak the language they need in each situation.  I think I need to learn a new language myself to fully answer that question.
