I love learning about cultures through linguistic anthropology and learning languages. Latvian & German are special to me because my father was from Latvia and my mother is from Germany. We only spoke English at home, so I am keen to learn more of both. I studied German for 4 years a very long time ago and in 2017 I earned my A1 level of Latvian at the university in Rīga. I am a Latvian citizen as well as a Canadian and have lots of family still in Latvia, so I would like to keep learning.
