Hi, I'm Valentina, I'm a nice and easygoing teacher from Italy and I'm new on Lonet!

I've always been passionate about foreign languages and writing and I started teaching languages during my Translation Studies, first in a language school and then as a freelance teacher. 

Also, part of my family is American, so I started speaking and reading in English from a very young age, while growing up in Italy. I completed my studies between Italy, Austria and Germany and, soon afterwards, I moved to Barcelona where I started freelancing as a teacher and translator. 

I've been teaching for quite a few years now and I still enjoy it a lot. My students learn by speaking and communicating on various topics: from small talk to more specific areas such as work, free time, hobbies, family, etc. I tend to work with books that I can provide as .pdf, but with some students who already have an intermediate level we sometimes prefer doing a lot of conversation. That really depends on your goals and the time you have at disposal.

I love explaining grammar and integrating it in my classes also doing some exercises. I think it's very helpful in order to learn a language and be able to also write it and speak it correctly. My classes are a good mixture of theory and practice.

I'm also specialised in teaching in companies, where we focus on email writing, presentations and phone calls in English.

Ciao, sono Valentina, sono un'insegnante italiana appena approdata su Lonet!

Insegno da molti anni e da ancora più anni lavoro con le lingue (proprio tanti, più di 20!!!). Amo insegnare e mi dà tantissima soddisfazione vedere i miei alunni sorridere per aver superato un esame o essere riusciti a scrivere finalmente un'email in lingua o aver superato un colloquio di lavoro in una lingua straniera. 

Cerco di rendere le lezioni leggere e piacevoli e di dare molto spazio alla conversazione, a qualunque livello si trovi l'alunno. Mi piace lavorare con dei libri, che invio di solito in .pdf agli alunni, perché credo che fare esercizio scritto e avere delle letture strutturate sia molto utile. In base agli obiettivi dei miei alunni, le lezioni sono sempre strutturate in maniera diversa, ma comunque c'è un buon mix di teoria e pratica. 

Le lezioni si adattano alle tue esigenze: se ti serve la lingua per motivi di studio o lavoro e hai poco tempo a disposizione, organizzeremo un programma specifico che ti aiuti a fare progressi nel giro di poco. Lavoreremo sempre su quello che serve a te: conversazione, grammatica, scrittura o altro.

Insegno anche nelle aziende e con loro lavoro di solito sulla redazione di email, le presentazioni e le telefonate in lingua. 

Inoltre, sono appassionata di crescita personale e scrittura creativa e scrivo, fra gli altri, per una rivista italiana di psicologia.

Ich bin eine enthusiastische und (hoffentlich) nette Lehrerin aus Italien, die Italienisch, Englisch und Deutsch unterrichtet.

Ich habe als Kind mit meinen Fremdsprachen angefangen und habe immer auf einer anderen Sprache gesprochen, gelesen und geschrieben. 

Unterrichten ist erst später gekommen, als ich schon in meinem Übersetzungsstudium war. Ich habe zuerst in einer Nachhilfeschule gearbeitet und dann freiberuflich. 

Nun unterrichte ich schon seit einigen Jahren, dabei sind meine Schüler eher Erwachsene oder Jugendliche, die ihre Fremdsprachen wegen Arbeit oder Studium lernen möchten. Im Unterricht ist mir die Konversation sehr wichtig, deshalb werden wir immer über unterschiedliche Themen sprechen, egal welches Niveau du hast. 

Ich arbeite gerne mit einem Lehrwerk und mische grundsätzlich Theorie und Praxis. 

Je nachdem, was dein Ziel mit der Sprache ist, werde ich ein zugeschnittenes Programm vorlegen, damit du im eigenen Tempo lernen und jederzeit deine Fortschritte wahrnehmen kannst. Sollte es nötig sein, werden wir auf Lücken der Grammatik genauer eingehen und ich werde versuchen, dir diese Erklärungen immer im Kontext zu geben und sie unterhaltsam zu machen.

Dazu unterrichte ich in Unternehmen, bei denen wir uns auf das Schreiben von Emails und das Führen von Vorträgen und Telefonaten konzentrieren.
