Interests and Hobbies

My methods and tools depend on what my students want to learn. For example, if you are a beginner, the main focus will be on pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary so that you can speak about yourself and know the basics of how to start a conversation. For more experienced speakers, we could talk about more difficult grammar topics and exercises to practise, trying to build more complex and longer sentences in Dutch. I always discuss this with every new student before we start a new class, so that you will feel motivated and stay interested.

About Me
During my studies, I was a volunteer at a school for refugees who had to learn Dutch. Although I saw most people struggle with the language and the pronunciation in particular, I was amazed by their perseverance and their grateful attitude towards the teachers. This motivated me to do the same as I moved to Germany, but then for refugees who had to learn German. I liked it so much that I wanted to make it my profession to teach people my native language. Up to the present day, I enjoy teaching people from all over the world, with various backgrounds and learning goals.
